My day started with a mantra that came from the ethers… "energy flows where attention goes." I received a different message yesterday…"the quality of your thoughts informs the quality of your life."
I'm not sure of the origins of these mystical whispers, but I am grateful. I needed the reminders.
What do these messages mean? For me, it means that I can create whatever reality I desire. When I am focused on what is working well, things seem to continue to improve. When I focus on what is causing distress, I generate more distress and more problems sprout.
It's really up to me to create my own reality. As many of you know, I am a former athlete. I have created a lot of excuses over the past 4 years which have taken me away from my training. I trust that there was a reason for it. Now my attention has turned back to building strength and adding in more movement.
I have decided to become disciplined in my approach. I found a habit tracker and posted it to my fridge. On it, I have listed my ultimate habit stack and I find great reward when I get to check the boxes each night.
Here's another mantra floating in that applies: “hard work is its own reward.” It's really true.
aMYLK is a big part of my habit stack. It's how I break my fast and get in my supplements like creatine for muscle building; adaptogens for antioxidants, immunity and hormone balancing; a healthy portion of my protein and healthy fats.
My attention is flowing toward abundance, strength and opportunity and my actions are following. This is your reminder of how powerful you are and how only you can change your life for the better.
